![]() Luis H. Francia is a Manila born and bred poet, critic, and writer. His two published books of poetry are Her Beauty Likes Me Well (Petrarch Press, 1979, with David Friedman) and The Arctic Archipelago and Other Poems (Ateneo De Manila University, 1992). He has edited two anthologies of literature by Filipino writers, the seminal Brown River, White Ocean (Rutgers University Press, 1993), and with co-editor Eric Gamalinda. Flippin' Filipinos on America (Asian American Writers Workshop, 1997). A collection of his essays is due next year, Memories of Overdevelopment and Other Essays (Anvil, 1998). He writes for the Village Voice Cinemaya, Asiaweek, and A. Magazine. He read primarily from a new, unpublished collection of poems, tentatively entitled, False Confessions. |
